My lovely and cherished best friend started limping 8 weeks ago, my vets diagnosed a torn cruciate ligament... they operated to find it was not that but perhaps a septic joint infection so treated that and sent samples to the lab which came back as a tumor. Therefore she went through a surgery and treatment when it was not needed causing more trauma and wasting more time all the while her condition deteriorated. We were referred to North Downs Referrals Oncology who after full CT scans and tests revealed it was not a tumor... 3rd misdiagnosis. At this point my insurance allowance for vets fees is maxed out, the insurance company are fighting me on the claims as she has had too many different diagnosis!

We are now in the hands of another specialist in orthopaedics who has just done another surgery to "have a look" and send more samples to the lab... my faith in vets has been lost. After 8 weeks, multiple tests, scans, trauma we are back at square one and Laika is miserable and in immense pain and all I can do is keep fighting for her, she's my girl and I would go the ends of the earth to make sure she's healthy and happy and see this smile on her face.

My savings and insurance are diminshed, this is not where I thought we'd end up and I'm just grasping at straws to bring her home.
