Hi,

My Name is Jeneva and I’m 18 years old. I am currently working at a company called Simplify Digital whilst undertaking Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Admin.

First of all I would like to personally thank anyone who is, has or will be taking the time read/ donate or/and share my campaign.

In July 2017, I will hopefully be flying to Fiji with 19 other students to help establish, improve and maintain proper academic facilities in some of the remote villages. We will be teaching in the local kindergartens and primary schools, coaching them in different sports and engaging in an exchange of culture through skills such as photography and basket weaving. I believe this experience will help me and the other volunteers regain that sense of family and togetherness that has been lost in our culture, something that is really important and a lifestyle in the Fijian culture.

I saw the ad for this Volunteering trip to Fiji on Facebook and something automatically clicked. Not only did it provide me with the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life through volunteering which is something I really wanted to do this year but due to working full time could not, but it was also with the University of Hertfordshire. Why is that important? It is important to me because it is the university that I have a secured place with to study Law in September 2017. I thought this would be a great opportunity to for me meet some of the people that I will be studying with or see on campus.

My decision to apply for this volunteering experience with the University of Hertfordshire in conjunction with Think Pacific arose due to it being a combination of 4 things that I have a deep interest in; charity, sports, travelling and education.
