UPDATE: Patrick passed away early in the morning on Monday, August 5, in LeAnn's arms. In LeAnn's words:

"Dear friends and family, It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that my sweet Patrick passed away on Monday. While I will miss him desperately, he accepted Christ as his savior in his last 12 hours on earth. It brings me so much peace to know that he is not gone but only waiting for me in heaven. As I held him in his last moments and he reached for someone I couldn't see, it only solidified to me there is more to life than just living on earth."

While money cannot take away any of the pain the Jenkins family is feeling, it can help make things a little bit easier for LeAnn and the kids. On top of coping with the loss of Patrick, their oven stopped working this week and a new one will eventually need to be purchased.

ORIGINAL STORY (May 2019)

Patrick and LeAnn, along with their two young children, are some of the kindest people we know. Less than a year after moving to Indiana, and only 8 months after their son was born, Patrick was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. He has spent two years working full time to support his family while also juggling chemo, doctor appointments, and trips to Houston to see some of the best specialists in the country. He is amazing! And so is LeAnn - she is always willing to help others even in the midst of their family's reality. Both of their kids are joyful and caring as well. He has since been able to return home from the hospital, but he is tired and getting sicker as his disease progresses. As of the end of May, Patrick is no longer able to work. In the midst of all of this, the Jenkins family had to purchase a new furnace for their home this past winter because theirs stopped working, they had to replace their water heater because it was leaking through their kitchen ceiling, and their main family vehicle needs some major repairs.

We love the Jenkins family and would like to come alongside them to help provide for their needs during this time. Whether that is money toward their expenses, helping with car repairs/purchasing a new to them vehicle, buying groceries for a week or even helping pay their mortgage...we just want to help ease some of their burden so they can focus on enjoying quality time and making memories as a family. Overall, we want them to feel loved, supported, and surrounded by community. Our current goal is $4000 to be able to meet some immediate needs and help supplement Patrick's disability income.
