My name is Jenna and I am currently studying Adult Nursing in Edinburgh Napier University.

In February 2017 I will be travelling to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania for a month. This is within an organisation called Work the World. Work the world is a registered company and gives the opportunity for people working within healthcare to experience an oversea's elective. www.worktheworld.com

The money raised will be in support of paying for medical supplies, volunteering in hospitals and community, sanitation products, toys and clothing supplies for local children and families.

"Nursing electives in developing countries have the potential to change the way you see healthcare forever." To work without the various resources we have within the UK is a challenge I'm willing to happily accept. While i'm in Tanzania I will be working in hospitals with various diseases such as HIV and malaria. I will also see normal healthcare issues we have here in the UK from stroke to COPD. I will be working in hospitals but I am also be visiting a small villiage.

This opportunity is amazing and every little will help. This is hopefully only the beginning for me to able to help others and make a change positively.
