No one should lose a child but that’s what happened to my dear friend Lynsey 3 years ago. Ellie Mae suffered a rare disease called Battens Disease and her life was tragically cut short at age 6. Sadly, her little brother Caleb - now 8, also has the same terminal Illness and faces the same fate. It’s is an incurable disease. Caleb is currently in relatively good health though he is fed by tube through his stomach and has lost his mobility and speech. Whilst he is still able to, Caleb is enjoying spending time making memories with his mummy. I hear he loves holidays in particular and I would love to help them get another one in the diary. I will be completing the 10k wild running obstacle course for Caleb and in memory of his beautiful sister who now flies high with the other angels taken way too soon.
