Pounds for Patrick – Wigan 10K Challenge 💙
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
This year I am taking on the Wigan 10K to support an incredible young lad, Patrick Jennings from Standish.
Patrick lives with cerebral palsy following complications at birth. Despite the challenges he faces every day, he continues to show remarkable courage, determination and a wonderful smile. His parents, Ed and Nan, have worked tirelessly to raise funds for specialist stem cell treatment and therapies that are helping Patrick make important progress in his mobility, feeding and independence. 12
As Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods, I have the privilege of seeing the very best of our borough when people come together to help others. Patrick's story has touched the hearts of many people across Wigan, and I wanted to do something to help.
That's why I am launching "Pounds for Patrick" and dedicating my Wigan 10K challenge to raising funds for Patrick's ongoing treatment and support.
I am asking friends, family, local businesses, community groups and residents to donate whatever they can. Whether it's £1, £5, £10 or more, every contribution will help Patrick continue his journey and give him the best possible opportunity to reach his full potential.
Wigan is renowned for its community spirit, kindness and willingness to help those in need. Together, we can make a real difference to Patrick and his family.
Thank you for your support, encouragement and generosity.
Let's turn our Pounds for Patrick into a brighter future for a very special young boy.
