In January of this year my best friend phoned me from Australia. I thought we were going to talk about our plans for our holiday to Thailand later this year however instead she told me the devastating news that her son Lochlan had been diagnosed with leukaemia and this would change their lives for years to come.

Lochlan has been incredibly strong, however he still needs lots of treatment which takes it’s toll and is heart breaking for his family. Amazingly Cass has now set up a charity to support other children and families suffering from cancer and the effects of the treatment.

In October this year I am running Cologne half marathon to raise money for the charity and my dear friends. I have now got officialy 2 months to get myself half marathon ready.
