“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. The origin of this proverb may be uncertain but it is a thought that has, for certain, stayed with me since I learned it in school. I have always believed that the ability to work is of greater benefit than a one-off handout and when I discovered Hotel School helps transform lives of homeless people by providing them with the opportunity and training to access real employment, I knew I had to support and contribute to the cause. I am running 175km in the month of February and the donations will go directly to Hotel School if we all reach the target.
