I've raised £500 to help support SNOOP.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page!
I have set myself a challenge to run the Manchester Half Marathon a distance of 13.1 miles to raise money for SNOOP. Having only started running in September last year and then not even being able to run for two minutes without stopping this will certainly be a challenge for me!
My Journey at SNOOP began in Summer 2019. I came to SNOOP to work on the Summer Play-scheme for six weeks but was so blown away by the work of the charity and so amazed by the families SNOOP supported that I have never left!
SNOOP is a local Learning Disability charity based In Eccleshill, Bradford. We support children and young adults with learning disabilities and neurodiversity. Our vision is for a society where people with learning disabilities and there parents/carers feel valued, supported and enabled to have a good life with the same chances and opportunities as any other person.
SNOOP has a nursery catering for 2-4 years old with Special Educational Needs, an After School Club and Holiday Play-scheme with activities based around friendship and fun and Young Adults Day Services based on developing social skills, physical and emotional health and life skills.
Our dedicated team of staff work extremely hard to ensure that our children and young adults achieve their hopes and dreams and live the best life possible, but most of all SNOOP is about fun, friendship and laughter!
Coming to work and seeing the children, young people and their parents and carers smiling through their most difficult days inspires me to do the same.
This challenge might be difficult for me but nowhere near as challenging as the struggles our families face on a daily basis and this is the message that gets me through my training runs!
It is difficult time for small charities and as a such we rely on our fundraising activities to provide much needed care and support to our families.
If you would consider supporting my fundraising efforts I would be really grateful.
£5.00 will provide a nutritious snack for 10 children who attend our after school club
£10.00 will provide a set of sensory toys for children with sensory impairments
£20.00 will provide 1 hour of specialised provision for a child or young person with complex needs
Thank you,
Jenny
