A friends dad was on the holiday of his dreams, motorcycling with friends across America, he was crashed into in a near head on collision by a truck driver, who fled the scene and left him fighting for his life on the side of the road.

The truck driver crossed the state lines and the police said they have not caught anyone, so may not even get justice for this atrocity!

A completely innocent 60year old devoted family man & retired police officer, had the holiday of a lifetime cut short within the first week.

After multiple surgeries to save his life, he is pulling through, but he will never be the same again.

They have had to remove his spleen meaning he has a compromised immune system and will be on antibiotics for the rest of his life, and on top of this terrible trauma he has had to have his lower leg amputated.

All because he was trying to enjoy his retirement.

Nobody deserves this, especially not a man who dedicated his life to protecting the community.
