Jenson is nearly 3 years old and was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome in 2017 and then autism earlier this year. He has a number of learning difficulties and at present is non-verbal. I have found an educational programme called ABA, delivered through Child Autism UK, which is specifically designed to teach autistic children to reach their full potential. I hope with this programme Jenson will be able to find a method to communicate with his family and friends, gain confidence and go on to attend mainstream school with an ABA tutor, who will help him with the day to day tasks that he may otherwise struggle with. ABA will only be funded by the NHS once parents have privately paid for ABA and gathered one year's worth of evidence. As it is so expensive, I will be holding a number of events to help fund it.
