We invite you to partner in an adventure with us!

This coming June our family is heading off on an adventure of a lifetime. We are heading abroad for training with the highly regarded Christian mission organisation YWAM (Youth With a Mission). This intensive initial training will prepare and eqip us to deliver practical care, support, counselling and restoration work.

As soon as we have been trained we are heading on outreach for three months where we will offer practical on-site help in some of the most impoverished communities. This hands-on experience will be invaluable giving us real-world insight and skills to start making a difference in the broken lives of those around us.

The next step is another three months of training, this time specifically focused on 'family ministries'. Here our vision for restoring children and young peoples lives and redeeming families starts taking shape. We will receive in-depth training from global leaders in family therapy, marriage counselling and child and youth work and build effective tools for working with broken, traumatised and marginalised children, families and communities.

For the last quarter of the year we get to use what we've learned. We get the unparalleled opportunity to work with existing projects already making in-roads in the communities we hope to serve. We will be holding child and youth camps, marriage and parenting seminars and giving essential practical help to meet the needs of street children, orphans and the communities as a whole that we are living in. Help that changes lives such as building homes for the homeless, and supporting the development of schools and churches.

This year will most definitely stretch us as a family. As parents, the idea of travelling with small children is daunting and exhilarating in equal measure! Our children will experience the world in ways books and documentaries can never fully convey. All of us will have the unprecedented opportunity to grow in our global awareness, experience the joys and hardships of cross-cultural connection as well as ultimately serve the needs of some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities in the countries which we are sent, bringing the love and hope of restoration through Jesus Christ.

Our aim is to return back to the UK in July 2021 more fully equipped and envigorated for full-time family ministry within broken, disadvantaged and vulnerable communities here.

Since the training and outreach with YWAM is completely voluntary we need your help to make this happen and raise the funds we need in order to make a difference in the lives of many families here and overseas.
