Story
On the 8th September I underwent surgery to remove skin cancer , I had already made commitment to compete in the Great Scottish Run on 1st October . It is still my intention to take part, the surgery has seriously impacted on my training, so wont wont be super time, but I will complete. please make it worth it and donate to my page
While my Target for this is £10,000, the overall Cost is £250,000, in total we have now have raised £237,000 so far. Ava is currently undergoing intensive chemo and radio, has no immune system and completely isolated from her family, Please donate/sponsor my running challenge so we can help this poor little girl and family.
I completed my first challenge with a trek round Galloway Forrest, wild camping all the way, starting in North Ayrshire, entering East Ayrshire down to Dumfries and Galloway eventually returning up through South Ayrshire before returning to North Ayrshire, in total will be just over 197 miles over 10 days. I am now running in the Great Scottish Run on 1st October. For those that don’t know, I reached my 60th in March this year, so this is certainly a challenge for these aging bones, in reality, nowhere near the challenge that Ava and her family have to go through.
