Story
My name is Wayne Brewster and I’ve opened this gofundme page on the most trusted fundraising platform because we need some urgent humane Help!
Nearly 2 months ago my 23 year old Son Tré started to explain that he’d lost his hearing in his left ear. The problem got worse as he began to experience severe pain in his left temple. Despite the cost, my wife and I felt we needed to take him to an Ear Specialist - we awaited the results as to the action or medication required to resolve the issue but to our amazement, they couldn’t find anything wrong. The problem persisted so we took him for a second opinion only to get the same result - nothing wrong! My Son’s overall health continued to noticeably decline so our extended family and friends came up with the money to allow him to have an MRI, the results of which brought us to our knees as we were informed that he had developed a tumour which was pressing in his upper left ear which needed urgent attention. My son, my family and of course myself were devastated and our anxiety further increased when the only 2 Neurosurgeons on our Island and even the Senior told us that whilst he could perform the Operation, my island hadn’t got the requisite equipment and that our most economical route was to go to a Facilty abroad.
Then the final bombshell came when we were told that the frightening cost of this incredibly complex operation is US$85,000 (or £65,000 British Pounds) - the tumour is pressing against the facial nerves and if the operative procedure fails in any way, our Son, at best, will not be able to yawn, blink or eat without major difficulty.
We have raised or borrowed all the money possible so far to just arrive at the desperate stage we are now and at least my wife or I will need and want to accompany our Son for a minimum of 2 months meaning we will not have sufficient financial resources to support our other 2 younger children or ourselves at a time when we need to be strong to help Tré all we can as we try to navigate the pathways to hopefully, a full recovery.
Our family income and Tré’s age does not allow us to have medical insurance for him so we have therefore no choice than to daily pray and make a plea to the wider human race for understanding and to help us raise the necessary money as we just don’t know what else we can do. I know that some people will say that there are many people facing extremely unfortunate and critical health issues but anybody with a heart and particularly those with Sons or Daughters of their own will know the agony and despair we feel right now and will understand why I have to try all I can to raise the funds and help our adorable Boy in his hour of need.
PLEASE, PLEASE HELP US
Any donation or contribution to our cause will be greatly appreciated - Thank You and God Bless YoU
