Story
Refugee Support Devon and its partner organisations in the Exeter area help refugees from across the world establish a new life in an unfamiliar land. To raise awareness of refugee issues and to support the work of organisations like Refugee Support Devon, I am helping organise a day-long event on Exeter Quay on Saturday June 26th 2021. It features historical re-enactments on the Exe River of refugee arrivals, an exhibition by the UN's refugee agency, lively discussions, music and food. All the events are open to the public and free. I am making this appeal to help cover costs of the event and to raise funds for Refugee Support Devon's ongoing work. I'm also issuing an open invitation to anyone living in the area to join us on the Quay any time from 11am to 5pm.
For more information on our organisation, go to www.refugeesupportdevon.org.uk. Refugee Support Devon is a UK registered charity, number 1143884.
Thank you.
