Story
I am Jerry Crawford from All Nations UK Events, Bradford’s community-based arts organisation focused upon young and disadvantaged people. Having worked with emerging musicians, vocalists and DJs from our talented city for many decades, establishing the district’s first open-access community recording & video studio for disadvantaged communities, my experienced colleagues and myself have channeled our expertise into our exciting musical venture which will open and maintain rewarding career pathways for emerging notable young urban talent.
Whilst home-recording has never been more popular, video-sharing sites such as YouTube generating useful expose, for all but a select fortunate few, online production and marketing, though useful tools, fail to have a major impact upon the careers of most up-and-coming musical artists. For the stars of tomorrow to become household names not one-hit wonders, requires far more than plug-ins, apps and a snazzy laptop. Getting a foothold onto the ladder of success is almost impossible for most rappers, vocalists, DJs or backing musicians, especially for young people from impoverished backgrounds, who, without the right backing and support, will fail to make the necessary progress into the serious echelons of the music industry.
The specialist technological resources offered by fully-professional studios is absolutely invaluable for serious musicians seeking a performance career at the highest level. Being able to record and lay down basic tracks on a laptop or tablet is one thing, but for the magic to shine through, requires not just prime equipment, but mentoring and professional advice not available on the net.
