I'm running the Great South Run on 19th October to support Portchester Youth Theatre — and I need your help!

This amazing group has been a lifeline for my daughter Adele. At a time when she was struggling, Portchester Youth Theatre gave her a place to grow in confidence, express herself, and truly shine. Thanks to the dedication and encouragement of the wonderful team there, she’s made incredible progress — and I couldn’t be more grateful.

They’re now working on their next big production, "Rising Stars," set to take the stage in January. As you can imagine, putting on a show isn’t cheap — costumes, sets, lighting, and venue hire all add up fast. Every penny raised will go directly towards making this show a reality for Adele and all the other talented young people involved.

Portchester Youth Theatre is a non-profit community theatre group for children aged 5–16. We provide a safe, welcoming space where young people can explore drama and theatre arts, discover their creativity, and develop valuable life skills.

The classes focus on more than just performance — they encourage confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, and communication, helping children to grow both on and off stage.

At Portchester Youth Theatre, every child is given the opportunity to shine, make friends, and be part of a supportive community that celebrates individuality and the joy of theatre.
