I've raised £2500 to send Jess to the 24th World Scout Jamboree

Hi, my name is Jess Roberts and I am an Explorer Scout from the Smugglers Unit in Ashford, Kent District. After a selection processes I was delighted to be chosen to represent the UK at the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in USA.
The World Scout Jamboree is a huge Scouting event that occurs once every four years in a different country. It is attended by some 46,000 Scouts from over 150 countries so to be able to represent the UK is an amazing opportunity. As mentioned earlier it will take place in West Virginia, USA. It will be hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Scouts Canada and the Scout Association of Mexico and takes place 22nd July – 2nd August 2019.
The overall cost is about £4,000. This cost is split between flights, the Jamboree itself, a visit to an America city eg, New York, the UK Contingent post event and a special uniform. Additionally, and more importantly, some of the money raised is used to fund Scouts from poorer countries, who without our support, would be unable to attend.
Thank you reading this post and if you are able to support me in any way – however small – this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your interest!
