Story

I am doing a 5k run to raise money for my amazing, braze little cousin Archie.

Archie was a healthy child until 9 May everything changed. He was 18 months old and caught a virus which his body had a reaction to and made his spinal cord swell up. His condition is called transverse myelitis. The swelling has now gone down but unfortunately it has permantly damaged the spinal cord, he is now paralysed from the neck down and he has a tracheostomy fitted as he cant breath unaided. He's had problems with his heart and now has a pacemaker fitted. Due to the unpredictability of Archie's condition, we have had to move back home with our parents as unfortunately we could no longer afford to keep up our home and constantly be at our son's side. Archie will require lots of specialist medical equipment such as a modified wheelchair and his breathing machines.

We have so far raised a lot of money for Archie but as he grows older the more equipment he will need.

He is such an inspiration to everyone and has remained so happy through everything. He honestly deserves the best in life and I am going to help him with that 💜
