Story

To lose a child is something every parent or anyone who wants to be a parent fears.

Our good friends Sian and Ruan sadly had to lay their beautiful baby girl Sophia-Rose to rest this year aged only 8 weeks old.

She spent her final week in the Heath Hospital, Cardiff. From Crynant thats quite some distance so imagine not having somewhere close by to stay. Luckily the Ronald Mcdonald charity fund a house at the hospital for parents to stay close to their children whilst they have to stay at hospital. The house is run purely on donations to the charity and as Sian and Ruan have already raised a great amount of money for the ward Sophia-Rose was cared for on, I spoke to them about raising money for this aswell.

I always look for some crazy challenge to take part in most years ranging from duathlons to marathons. Well for our friends and their beautiful daughter Ive decided to do the 'Fan dance' 15miles up and down pen y fan a few miles run and back up and down pen y fan whilst lugging about a 25lb backpack. Those that know me know cardio is not my pal and im all about the weights so this is going to be by no means easy. I will be doing it on 8th July and would appreciate any donation possible even if its the £1 down the side of your sofa, please donate to this amazing cause, keeping familys close together whilst their children are unwell

Thanks for reading hope you can donate.
