Story

As some of you may know, I went to West Africa, Togo at the beginning of this year to teach English, Business and Health. Whilst volunteering for 3 months I met so many amazing people who taught me so many life lessons from a different perspective, of which really inspired me to take every opportunity that I came across. There was a team of 15 of UK volunteers who teamed up with 15 Togolese nationals to help the local community’s. We were managed by several AMAZING leaders, one of which was called Mana. Not only was Mana an amazing woman, she represented great independence and strength. She became an inspiration and someone whom I gained so much respect for. Mana was pregnant throughout my trip and gave birth in May 2018 to her second child. Just over a week ago, she passed away and at this stage it is unknown why. It has broken the hearts of the team completely. She has left behind two young children, who are not promised of great opportunities in Togo, and I am determined to raise the most I can to fund their support and try and make something great of their life. I will be taking part in Preston White Collar Boxing, and raising money for Mana and her children. Any donations are appreciated, the help matters more than you could every imagine, believe me. Thankyou.
