Story
Hi my name is Claire I’m Jessica’s mum and after several request I’v decided to set up a crowd fund to raise money for Jessica.
*UPDATE 6th March 2026 - WHAT:Jessica daddy (Wayne) has been successfully in donating his Kidney to Jessica. Jessica has now recently undergone kidney transplant after waiting her whole life (almost 5yrs).
HOW:Dad was successful in the paired transplant donor scheme. This pool has 6 people in. 3 donors who for some reason were not able to direct donate to their own person; therefore the paired scheme allowed 3 adults to donate to 3 stranger in exchange their person would get one. That dream came true on 6th March 2026.
NOW: Jessica and her daddy are in recovery. It’s been very difficult but making some progress.
JESSICA STORY

Jessica has had a very tough 4 years (nearly 5years). Jessica was born with kidney disease ARPKD. For the past 2.5 years Jessica has been kept alive by a dialysis machine, while we wait for a transplant. * Jessica requires to be hooked up to a machine every other day for 4-5 hours a time for it to clean her blood and remove toxins from her body to stop her dying. Jessica misses out on a lot of activities like school and play time like her peers. Jessica has NO kidneys (Jessica was scheduled to get mums kidney in Dec 2023 however the hospital scheduled a nephrectomy; protocol prior for a donor kidney to be implanted, however the team failed to cross referencing mums and Jessica’s scans - finding out after Jessicas remaining kidney was removed that they were not compatible). Leaving little Jessica reliant on dialysis to stay alive.
Kidney disease ARPKD has hugely affected Jessica. Jessica doesn’t eat (fed via a gastronomy drip fed over 12hours each day). Jessica has regular trips to the hospital, in a few years Jessica’s Liver will fail too. Jessica is susceptible to get hospitalised for common illness such as cold, flu etc.., Jessica has huge developmental delays like speech, mobility and struggles to articulate her emotions at times.
I’m asking for help, unfortunately Jessica medical needs are very restrictive on the family - mum has started a new job to help with financial pressure (cost of living) however, hours are very restrictive due to Jessica’s medical needs. Dad usually works away so adds more stress on mum to maintain home life. Dad’s taken a few months off to help but things are becoming increasingly difficult. Jessica has an older brother James who feels very neglected as Jessica care takes up a lot of time.
We’re not able take Jessica abroad and have been severely restricted in taking her on adventures/ trips around the UK. (We have to take the dialysis machine and supplies with us).
Jessica has an older brother James who constantly misses out, but is THE most amazing big brother.
Many people have asked how they can support. Therefore we have set up this go fund page for anyone that wishes to help financially so we can get Jessica some toys, clothes (need to get them tailored due to stomach and limb proportions), trips away, hospital cost, fuel, food cost, energy bills, saving towards a trip away for Jessica when she’s finally able to.
Any support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
