    Story

On Saturday 24th November Jessie was playing rugby for Plymouth Albion Ladies where she sustained a potentially life changing injury. .

Jessie broke her neck during a tackle, this has resulted in a broken C1 and fractured C4 vetebrae, as well as ligament damage. She will be in a halo for the next 3 months in the hope that this will begin to strengthen.

Jessie is an RNLI lifeguard, Paramedic, surfer and a very passionate football and rugby player. We are uncertain where Jessie's road to recovery will take her, and therefore as a team we would like to raise funds to aid that recovery, help with family support and any potential domestic changes that may need to happen.

We are so proud of the strength and courage she has shown so far and hope by taking off the stress of money she can work hard on making herself better and getting back to the active and incredible girl that she is.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far. The support from everyone is really keeping Jessie going and she is getting stronger by the day. Jessie is in a halo for 12 weeks. The hope is the fusion operation will be prolonged however this depends on how the bones strengthen over the next 12 weeks. Jessie attended our first rugby match since the injury on Saturday 8th Dec which was very emotional for us and her but she is still so passionate about the game and was a real honor to have her standing there.
