The Shalom Network is a new charity, amalgamating different ministries across the Forest of Dean. One of these ministries supports adults with additional needs, particularly with discipleship and church inclusion, and is something which I have been involved in for many years and kickstarted a passion which led me to the sector of work which I now find myself.

I am running the Newport Marathon on October 24th 2021, two years after I signed up for it (thanks Covid)! Over those two years I have been involved in setting up this charity and after much blood sweat and tears we have received our charity number!

I am running this race for the Shalom Network because blood, sweat and tears can come in the form of paperwork, or running 100's of miles, and because I believe that the people that the Shalom Network support are well worth that.
