We are a small family run reptile business who are looking for a little help from the public. We acquired the shop from the death of my father and my childrens grandfather who left us a small amount of money in his will, when we took over the shop it was a failing business and we have worked very hard over the past 3 and half years to pull it back. In all this time none of us have taken a wage but have continued to put everything we have into the business to improve the living conditions of the animals as well as educating the public on the animals and their upkeep. We are currently battling our landlords who are trying to increase our rent, although we already feel we are paying much more than we should. Our lease is up for renewal at the end of June, and they have told us that we cannot continue unless we agree to their new terms. Therefore we need your help to raise the money to save the animals from being thrown out on the streets, or even worse euthanized. We have always taken in and re-homed unwanted animals as well as having animals on hoilday for owners who are going away. We regularly take part in community and charity events free of charge, as well as giving all the local schools access to the shop and animals for education. Our shop is situated in a deprived area, and for many of the children it is a great opportunity for them to learn or engage with animals they would otherwise be unlikely to see. We wish to keep doing these services but just need a little funding to help us through.
