Story
During the summer of 2020, I volunteered every Friday and Saturday night in Market Harborough town centre, offering my medical skills to those enjoying their evenings. Whether a simple wound dressing or life-saving CPR, I have been there when people are in need of help. I have now been continuing this since pubs have reopened.
Despite having trauma kits, burn kits, medicines, nebulisers, and even simply water and blankets, I do not carry an AED.
This is a critical piece of life-saving equipment, which is able to deliver an electric shock to a patient in cardiac arrest - greatly increasing their chances of survival. Without it, CPR can only go so far.
I am therefore turning to your genorosity to purchase an AED and spare sets of pads. This will not only be used in this area of volunteering, but also when I respond to emergency 999 calls and when I'm off-duty.
So whether you're able to give small or large, I would greatly appreciate this. The entirety of your funds will go to this life-saving medical equipment, with the possibility to benefit so many people.
Your donation will literally save a life.
