I have always wanted to be able to help others, and I feel like the programme plan my gap year is going to help me achieve that. There are many people in this planet both young and poor that desperately need the support and care of someone, and I want to be that someone.

Going to Sri Lanka to work at a medical centre will add to the help those people there need and it will also allow me to develop as a person. I want to go to the orphanage not just as a someone to help out with the kids, but to also be a role model to them and be someone they can rely and lean on.

These people both young and old need as much care and attention as they can get, and I want to do just that.

So please help me get there so I can help make a difference.
