So... In 2012 our shop was robbed. It turned out to be an inside job from a former worker. The police closed the case after 12 weeks, even though the former worker responsible lavished out on expenses such as 3 houses, cars and family holidays with the businesses money.

In 2013, jewellery was going missing, we suspected an employee at the time and so the police took a tray of our jewellery from our safe as evidence.
They then put it in their vault in which they were to return within a few days but they could neither say whether they had lost or misplaced our gold, either way they still do not know of its whereabouts to date. They have admitted liability three times in the press but haven't paid a penny of compensation.

As a result, we have lost one of our two shops as we could not pay the mortgage and we had to sell our family home of 27 years to be able to keep our other shop, which is our only source of income.

We now need to stock up for Christmas but as we have not yet received our compensation money, we cannot do this ourselves. We have a solicitor based in Liverpool who will help us get our compensation but until then stocking the shop is difficult.

This is a family run business in the heart of Ashford and well known to the people of Ashford. There aren't many businesses that are family run anymore so please help our business thrive again, for another 11 years or more.
