We met Zemachu as a school boy in 2007 and against a background of hardship and poverty, he graduated as a tourism guide from college in Addis Ababa. The situation in the country during recent years has become difficult, however, so tourists are staying away. Zemachu would now like to open a restaurant in his home town, to try a different way to earn a living and support his family and help the community. He has found potential premises with a beautiful view and plenty of space and has a cook ready to start.

We want to help him get his plans off the ground by raising money here for him, so he can take on the premises (deal already sealed with a handshake!) and hire the cook.
