Hey, On the behalf of Jills family we would like to help Jill get the much needed operataions for her back, this will help get her life back on track and enable her to enjoy more time with family and friends and most importantly her youngest son who is still at home and in education. We all want to see the bubbly, happy Jill back instead of seeing her suffer daily, even with simple life tasks. In September 2016 while Jill was working she lifted up a heavy bin bag to put into a large industrial bin, unfortunately she twisted wrong and described the pain as, "it felt like my spine ripped in half". Since then she has sadly had to stop working and be put on unpaid sick leave. Jill had to give up manual driving and switch to automatic to make getting around easier although some days its physically impossible and can't bare the pain for her to drive and get her shopping or son and grandchildren to school. Jill has to use crutches to aid her walking and has had crutches for 10 months now. The amount of medication she is currently prescribed by the pain clinic and doctors is an overwhelming site. I'd really like to see it come down if successful in getting the funds for the operations. I'm so adamant to do this for her! All Jill has ever done is give her time and support to others through being a learning support assistant, driving the school mini bus, volunteering at school and multiple other things. The first £1,600 will be for a Lumbar discography which is a injection technique used to evaluate patients with back pain who have not responded to extensive conservative (nonsurgical) care regimens. The most common use of discography is for surgical planning prior to a lumbar fusion. Then the £30,000 will be for the fusion and possible second surgical procedure depending on the findings from the lumber discography. The remaining money would be used for the after care and getting back to normality . Thank you and i shall try to keep you all updated!
