I will be running the Bolton Community Half Marathon in aid of AFC Masters Disabilities football club.

First off, i hate running, unless it is on the football pitch.

So, why have i decided to run a half marathon with absolutely zero experience for running such a long distance? Well, the answer is everything to do with the cause, AFC Masters.

I have been a part of AFC Masters as an assistant coach for around 9 months now and there are not enough compliments in the world that can be paid to this wonderful organisation! Masters provides football sessions for adults and children with a wide array of abilities and disabilities as well as going above and beyond with work by the AFC Masters Academy.

During my time at AFC Masters it has struck me that the Club is more than JUST a football club, but is a very large family, offering football, friendship, fun and support. All money raised will go towards continuing the fantastic work of AFC masters helping us to continue providing training session, drop in sessions, away days and the AFC Masters Academy.
