I've raised £1000 to Raise funds for Cardiac Rehab Anglesey & Gwynedd

Hi Everyone
My name is Jim Walker and last year something terrible happened. I had a heart attack! This led to bypass surgery - I had 5 coronary artery bypasses!!! This year I have decided to do something very challenging and walk up snowdon.
Without the help from the amazing staff in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Liverpool Heart and Lung Hospital, Cardiac Rehab and the ever supportive National Exercise Referral Scheme (NERS) I wouldn't be walking up snowdon, in fact I wouldn't be walking anywhere! I'm doing this epic climb to show you that it's not the end of the world if you have a medical problem and you can recover and recover well too.
When I was in hospital before the surgery the cardiac nurse told me what to expect and how I was going to feel and how best to recover. Central to this was the exercise program based in the leisure centre. Every step I take towards the summit will remind me and show you how with their help you can achieve your goals.
The money raised will help supply equipment for the Cardiac team in the leisure centres but the most important thing for you to know is there is help waiting for you to improve your health.
Thank you for supporting me and the team on our summit challenge - I'll be joined by the physio, Cardiac nurse and exercise professional and a few others on October 17th.
Jim
