In recent times both of us have been saddened by the number of our friends and family who have been affected by cancer.

In May this year our friends Sally & Dave lost their daughter Abby to Ewing"s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. She was just 11 years old.

Over the course of 3 years Abby endured 23 rounds of chemotherapy, 60 radiotherapy sessions, stem cell harvest, and major operations to remove & rebuild affected bones. Throughout all of this Abby never lost her spirit or her positive nature, and the energy that shone through her smile was absolutely incredible. She was and will always remain one of the most inspirational people we've ever known.

Following on from the successful fundraising that went on during the treatment, Abby"s parents are now in the process of setting up a Registered Charity in memory of Abby. This charity will offer support, advice, practical & financial help to the families of children with cancer, as well as organising treats and happy events for the children themselves.

Being blessed with full health and a lovely home, neither of us thought the traditional wedding gift-list would be appropriate. Instead we would ask that our guests make a contribution to this cause which is so close to our hearts, and help make a positive difference to families affected by childhood cancers.
