Crowdfunding is the new way to raise money for a personal cause on JustGiving.
This time last year, I had a sudden change in circumstances, which resulted in me having to go to a foodbank to be able to feed myself and my 3 children.
That first day I went into the foodbank, I was embarrassed (having worked for 9 years) nervous and felt very, very low!
I was immediately welcomed in by the lovely ladies in the foodbank who made me a cup of tea, and took their time to sit down to talk and more importantly listen to me.
They helped me in more ways than they could ever know, in more ways than just food.
The first day they took me home along with bags of food to last me and the children the week, which took a great deal of worry from my shoulders, and made me realise there are people who care when you have hit an all time low.
They helped me over the next few months, including over Christmas where they brought treats and chocolates for my kids.
I have been going in regularly to still have a cup of tea and a biscuit with the lovely ladies who give up alot of time to help others, whilst also taking in food from my shopping when I can, to repay their generosity in my time of need.
I would like to raise money to allow these lovely volunteers to buy food for people struggling this Christmas,
and for those with children, this money will allow them to buy a small toy from santa, to keep their Christmas alive.
Please listen to my Christmas song for 2016, and if you can, please donate xx
