Last year, Aberdeenshire's MHIWS Link Workers, received many requests for support for people who were struggling financially, feeling isolated or alone.
Unfortunately, as a service, we were unable to help.
This year, the team have put their hearts and heads together to make it different and better!
While we as a service may not be able to change things, as Volunteers and members of the Community, we sure can!
We have confirmed a number of our venues and will be recruiting volunteers and looking into catering in the coming weeks, but the events are going to take money to make them happen.
Our venues hold between 50-200 people each, and so far we have 6 confirmed venues, with another 2 possibilities.
With any leftover funds, we would look to try and provide everyone who is attending with a little gift, it is Christmas after all!
This event is open to ANYONE who lives in Aberdeenshire and may struggle financially to provide for themselves and or their family, and for anyone who otherwise would be spending the day alone.
While it is the most magical time of year for most, for many others, it is actually one of the bleakest and most challenging times of the year.
So if you would like to make a donation towards our Community Project, please do.
