I've raised £350 to Help refugees access legal aid!

Hello! I'm Jing. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'll be running the Fenland Monster Marathon in Ely on 30 September, and it would mean so much to me if you show your support by contributing (a sum - any sum!) to help refugees in Greece access legal aid, so they can seek asylum.
Running a marathon has been a long-harboured ambition for me, and after sitting on the fence about it for ages, I decided to bite the bullet and sign up for one. I've been running for several years now, but this time I'd like this passion/hobby/addiction to benefit someone else, too.
That's why I'm raising funds for Advocates Abroad (AA, not to be confused with Alcoholics Anonymous), an NGO that assists refugees seeking asylum with legal aid. I first heard about AA from SolidariTee, an initiative at my university that sells t-shirts to raise funds for AA (buy one here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SolidariTeeUK). They operate legal advocate field teams at borders that refugees travel to, where they run legal clinics, provide court representation, and more. Find out more about Advocates Abroad here: https://advocatesabroad.org/
The global refugee crisis is more urgent than ever, and with more people attempting to leave countries in conflict, asylum screening processes are becoming ever more stringent. While one can get bogged down in debates over culture crisis and straining economic resources, I think I can safely say that everyone, particularly those who are persecuted in their home countries, could all use a little help from friends.
Please donate generously. God bless! :)
