Story

Hi.

Thank you for visiting my foundraising profile. :)

My name's Jiri, from Czech republic. I've lived in London for about four years and worked as bicycle mechanic, but didn't have much time to do my own cycling trips. Now I have decided to leave for longer travels and am now in Scotland where I've arrived after 1800km cycled from Czech republic. I'd like to settle down for a few months in Dublin to make some more money so i can continue somewhere else.

For about 5 years I have been supporting, with monthly donation to a charity called Adra. I am oriented especially to one of their programs called Chalantinka. If you'd like to know more, please have a look at their amazing efforts in the link below :

Investment into education is a great solution on how to reduce poverty. Just because these people live somewhere else, it deosn't mean we can just ignore what's going on - No matter how far away from each other we all are, or how many borders are between us, we're all human. I think that because we have great recources, more food and drinkable clean water than we need, and because we have education, it including us even more to help out people in need. The strong should support the week, and help them stand up. The decisions of individuals decides for a charater of our humanity as a whole.

All of the money that will be raised in this campaign will go towards educational purposes to this centre in Dhaka, and I would like to use my journey as a catalyst. I started my journey on 22/09/18.

I've been thinking about what to give back as a little apprecitiation for your donation besides the good feeling that you'll get by sharing a little, which in the other part of the world means a lot. I'll create a gallery of the pictures I'll take on the way, and you'll pick one which I'll create a postcard of, which I will then send to you from Dublin after my arrival.

If you see this then please leave £1 behind for them. If I can get enough people to see this, then my goal could be easy to reach. It can be a test on how we can work together as whole!

If you contact me and leave me your email you can get personal thanks from Adra, from the kids or just ask any questions you have for me in general.

Go on and check my Instagram if you would like to see more pictures during my cycle from Czech republic to Scotland. I spent four weeks on a lovely wee island called Lismore so you can find some nice views and landscape photography. Also, I will post pictures from this tour. https://www.instagram.com/jiri.sejna/

If you get all the way here then let me thank you for your time. If you can't afford to spare a little change here then you can help by sharing if you agree with this campaign. Awarness that something like this is going on is very important and again - clicking on "Share" might be little for you but it is a lot for other people.

Thank you very much

Best regards

Jiri
