Iʼve raised £3,300 to support 'The Game Change Project', a not-for-profit organisation that helps young people develop their self confidence and life skills.

    Story

On Friday 31st May 2024 I will be doing a Wingwalk on top of a biplane, to help raise awareness and funding for The Game Change Project. As a Non-Exec Director of this organisation, they kindly volunteered me for this challenge and I really don't want to disappoint them!

I can honestly say that I don't like heights, and this is a big deal for me! But it's worth it - The Game Change Project does such incredible work and has helped hundreds of children build their confidence and sense of purpose. We have now just celebrated our 5th Birthday and in those 5 years have supported over 350 children and their families.

Our programmes help disengaged young people develop essential life skills to improve their mental health and well-being so that they can thrive and reach their true potential in life. Our unique experiences combined with proven coaching techniques literally "bring learning to life". Young people who are struggling in a traditional classroom environment can experience the power of non-verbal communication by working with horses; learn practical skills like digger driving, mechanics and off road driving, develop problem solving and team working strategies and practice their skills through community volunteering.

Each year more than 200 young people enter our programmes, often struggling with low self esteem, little confidence and poor motivation. We watch their confidence and self belief grow through our life skills programmes and volunteering activities and we see them thrive as they enter employment or further education. With the right support and encouragement, these youngsters have turned their lives around to become active citizens of the future.

It would mean so much to me if you could support this wonderful cause.
