Hayden attends dialysis 3 times a week at the LGI there are usually 3 or 4 other children here at the same time, the nurses and doctors are amazing and all the support staff help make the up to 4 hours for some children connected to a machine as comfortanle as possible, the dialysis unit whilst well equipt has no air conditioning and the windows are locked shut, the hospital cant fund the fans due to its ‘carbon footprint’ however if they were donated they would be allowed to be used. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to allow the kids and staff have a more comfortable time whilst hooked up to the machines that are effectively keeping them alive.
