Story

My amazing little girls, Chloe and Ella, have decided to do the kids version of Pretty Muddy at the end of June and in doing this they are hoping to raise money for two different charities.
The first is Cancer Research Kids and Teens. All donations made to this campaign go towards childhood cancer research and finding new, better and kinder treatments for children.
Secondly we would like to raise some money for new local children's cancer charity, You Are My Sunshine. This charity was set up in memory of the most incredible little man, Dawson and is already making such a difference to families just like our own.

Our story...
Nobody wants to hear the dreaded c word, especially in regards to your child. Literally every parents worst nightmare. Well in 2015 our nightmare began. At three years old, our beautiful baby Ella was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She had a 15cm tumour on her kidney that had spread to her lungs.
Ella went through so much during her year of treatment. Chemotherapy, major surgery, radiotherapy, then even more chemo. She struggled with some interventions but her smile always shone through. In the beginning and just after surgery, she was in an incredible amount of pain and the treatment at times made her extremely poorly but she still never failed to light up a room. The central line she had inserted in her chest caused her infection after infection and losing her 'Princess hair' was extremely difficult for her, but she would still be the one to make everyone else feel better. Ella is quite simply perfect, as are her siblings, Chloe and Kane, who carried her through her treatment and paid a huge part in getting her better.
Ella has now been in remission for almost 2 years and we want to help the children still fighting, or yet to fight, this awful disease. We want awareness and earlier diagnosis. We want kinder treatments so children aren't left with huge long term side effects. We want new and better treatments to stop children passing away.
