Story

I'm raising £200 to support the upkeep of the national covid memorial wall.
This is a small charity that a lot of people will not have heard of. For those of us that lost a loved one to Covid this place is so important. We lost our mum to Covid in December 2020. When you lose someone to this you also lose the 'normal' way to grieve for them. We were unable to be with our mum at the end, to be able to hold a proper funeral for all who knew her to celebrate her life. We were unable to see her in the chapel of rest or be able to carry her coffin. Covid took away so many of these things. Having a place where we are able to remember her with other people who understand what you have been through is so important.
There is a group of volunteers who make sure all the hearts on the wall are visible. There is a heart for every person that died of Covid.

I will be running the London Royal Parks half marathon on 12th October to raise funds for this charity.
