Story

In 2014 my older sister Katie Steward (whom ive met briefly when she was feeling well enough to visit out grand parents on an ’ok’ day) was told she had just weeks to live by British doctors. Desperate to keep herself alive with the help of her closest family and friends embarked on a life to avoid particular chemicals and air pollution in spain, moving on to portugal. This is not a luxury travelling experience and very often katie is too ill to move from the tent or mobile home she is living in due to her debilatating illness ME. Unable to eat most of the time she weighs the least she has and has had numerous doctors give up on her.

She has been offered the chance of some potential treatment by a world renowned immunologist but the cost is likely to run into 10s of thousands of pounds so whatever i can raise i will, even if its only a little amount.

Horses have always been a part of my sisters life until she got ill and couldnt leave her home. Because of this my horse Dolly and I are going to do our first sponsored ride on Sunday 9th September. This is a 10 mile ride in Kent called the Molash Blossom ride. Ouch! This will also be particularly challenging as Dolly loves to eat! And all that lush grass is going to be very tempting For her!
