Story

Myself, Craig Driver and Steve Welsh are all work colleagues who are aiming to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 23rd July.

This will be a complete challenge for us all who aren't in the best shape!..and will probably be driven only by the carvery and pints waiting for us at the end!

We are doing this in support of our colleague Jamie Stephenson, who's Dad, Phil Stephenson has just been diagnosed with MNDA.

His Dad, Stepmum and Sister all work or worked at KONE and are a very well loved and respected family.

There are many fundraising events currently ongoing to support Phil and so we thought it was time to do our bit to show our support to Jamie and his family.

The road ahead is going to be really tough for them all as this disease progresses to the rest of his body but the MND Association will be there for the every step of the way to ensure he achieves the best quality of life, they can only do this for them and other families facing this cruel disease through people's generous contributions and fundraising.
One day with vital fundraising and research there will/has to be cure for this cruel disease.

MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. It is a lift-shortening disease and there is currently no cure. Although the disease will progress, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life.

A recent study has shown that living with MND costs around £12000 per year, this includes specialist equipment and home adaptation. The MND charity is campaigning to ease the financial pressures this can cause to sufferers and their families.

The MND association are working towards a cure and many people with MND are currently taking part in various drug trials and treatments. One day
