In July 2017, I am going to Sri Lanka for three weeks. This trip is being run through my college by Travelteer uk. During those three weeks i will be helping to improve the local environment and to assist young people in improving their English language skills. During the first week, i will be travelling from coast to coast to learn about the country and its culture. In the second week, i will be helping the environment in Sri Lanka in a number of ways: working in an animal hospital to rehabilitate injured animals, replanting trees in the rainforest, helping in a turtle hatchery to release baby turtles into the sea and doing a beach and river clean up. In the third week i will be participating in an English language development programme where i will be helping local children tolearn and improve their language skills. During that week I shall be doing afterschool teaching, in-class assisting, lesson planning and community projects.

This will be an incredible, educational experience of a lifetime and I am seeking support by way of donations via this page and other fund-raising activities I shall be undertaking over the next few months. The money raised will be donated to Travelteer Impact, a non-profit charity supporting the above projects in Sri Lanka and some will go towards my flights to enable me to get there.
