Story
Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR) is based in Carmarthenshire, Wales but has dogs in foster homes throughout the UK. They take in and rehome primarily ex-breeding dogs who are no longer required; those on "death row" in the pounds and those whose owners are no longer able to keep them.
They are a unique rescue in that the majority of their dogs are ex-breeders and many have never seen the outside world before. With the help of staff, fosterers and other volunteers we provide a special and loving environment to help all the dogs adapt and find permanent, loving new homes. All potential adopters are interviewed and homes vetted and they do their utmost best to find the right home for each dog. The rescue has grown considerably since it first opened and now homes in excess of 3,000 dogs a year.
In constant need of funds to continue their fantastic work, I will be running The Cardiff 10k on Sunday 3rd September 2017 to raise some much needed funds and help raise awareness. You can help support me by donating to this very worthy cause.

7 years ago* UPDATE* Well! After a fall 10 days ago injuring my ribs, hip and back I haven't been able to train. So wasn't expecting miracles when going out for a run today. I managed 7 v-e-r-y s-l-o-w PAINFUL kilometers. But I'm optimistic that the next week will see an improvement in the aches and pains. So I WILL complete the Cardiff 10k on Sunday 3rd September. *yikes* only 2 weeks and 4 days away! ! Fundraising is going well, with personal pledges of sponsorship money and the donations on here I am very close to the target of £300 I set myself.

A family member recently adopted a dog from "Many Tears Animal Rescue" giving us an insight into the wonderful job they do. This inspired me to try to help by raising money to help them.
