Story

To build a sanctuary for my terminally ill parents. They are both 60. My dad has a rare dementia (picks disease). My mum stage 3 invasive bladder cancer she is having chemotherapy at present before they try to take her bladder out. She has been given a 30% chance of ever gettind rid of the horrible Caner!!. But there has to be someone in the 30% why not my mum. 7 years ago my mum moved in to look after my nanna when my grandad past away. In the meantime my dad got his diagnosis after years of heartache and never giving up. So until January my mum looked after them both. My nanna pasted away and afew months later my mum got diagnosed!! As if we hadn't had enough bad news. At this dark time we want a rainbow to help us so much to get through..some. Peace and quiet for them. I'm disabled and my husband is my full time carer..we met 11yrs ago and i moved to Southampton. As soon as my dad was diagnosed we moved back Im there only child and couldn't not see him everyday. My husband left his job of 26 years to support us all and care for me. He is a joiner by trade so he will do the build..pictues and updates will be on every step of the way. Just a lounge and small kitchen with kettle small fridge for sandwich es and snacks. We would appreciate anything at all even donated materials.. Both mum and dad with the help of family will live with us and my 17 yr old son.. Just so they can step out in the garden to the cabin for sanctuary.. And own space. Pls if anyone can put a rainbow back in our lives we would be eternally grateful.. Love jo and paul x
