Story

To all the members of the Sunday Lunch Club. I am asking you all a massive favour. I know a lot of you don‘t come to all our Sunday lunches so you very probably don’t know what we are raising money for. Please let me explain. We are raising money this year to buy the Rigby Unit (cancer unit) at Stratford Hospital their own blood analysing machine. At the moment when you have your bloods taken they have to be sent off to Warwick Hospital which takes two days. If we raise enough money to purchase one for them, bloods can be tested there and then and results will be back in two hours. This means patients can start taking the correct medication sooner. I’m asking you with my hand on my heart as this is a cause very close to mine. Please give generously to this worthy cause. Any donation from £5 (a price of one pint ) would be so very much appreciated.
