    Story

We are Wakefield Trinity Ladies Rugby League team.
We're affiliated with the Super League Club, Wakefield Trinity, but we are financially independent and a self sustained team.
As an amateur team, our primary objective is to have fun, and to encourage girls and women to participate in this sport.
Sadly, there's little money invested into the women's game, which means all the costs are required to be raised by securing sponsorships, fundraising and obtaining community grants.
Because of this, there are costs that the players are required to pay to contribute to the kit theiy require.
We feel that this often excludes players or discourages them, because they fundamentally can't afford those costs. We want to be a sport, and team that promotes and provides inclusivity, that every girl or woman who loves Rugby League, can be involved in the sport and have the kit and equipment that they require.
We wish to be able to provide the girls and women who are part of this team with professional looking attire and suitable equipment, so that it doesn't have to cost those who maybe aren't in a position to purchase the required kit or equipment.
We also think it's important to instil confidence and pride in the players and subsequently the team, and by providing these girls and women with smart, matching attire, you can see their heads go high, and their chests puff out.
For some, being part of a team is so much more than playing Rugby League, it's a sense of belonging to something, family, and for us as coaches, we want each member of our family to have the same.
Just like with your children, you don't give to one, but not the other, you give them the same, and that's what we'd like to be able to do.
So, we're asking if you could each give something, no matter how small, that will help us provide the members of the team with all that they need, so they can simply enjoy their rugby, and not concern themselves with the financial aspect.
Please help if you can. Thanks
