My name is Joanne and along with my partner, Denis, I run Smart Pets, an international pet transport company. Our main work is delivering rescue animals to their new homes, and we love our work.

Most of our furry clients are dogs, rescued from killing stations in Spain and going to new loving homes in the UK. We see some horrible things here is Spain, but there are places where animals suffer even more, and I want to help.

I have been a follower of Animal Aid Unlimited for some time now, and I am always astounded with what they do. They rescue some of the worst cases of neglect and injury that I have even seen, and with little resources and equipment they produce miracles time and time again. We want to volunteer with Animal Aid Unlimited for a month, in India.
They have many animals in their care who need exercise, rehabilitation and physical therapy, as well as the daily tasks of keeping the kennels clean ect.
We want to volunteer every day while we are there, for about a month, doing whatever the charity requires, and we hope we can make a small difference to some of the animals and their future....

It wont be glamorous, it won't be easy, but we are willing to give up our Christmas and New Year festivities to try to help these animals.

Unfortunately, we don't make a lot of money with our business, we keep our coats as low as we can to help the local charities and rescues, so we can't afford the flights and accommodation on our own, as well as food and.living costs for a month.
We estimate that it will cost around £1200 for the flights and cheap accommodation, so we are trying to raise half of that.

If we make more than the target amount the extra funds will be given to the charity, so even more reason to give what you can, please.
