In 2020 three of our volunteers went to the orphanage to help out in the kitchen and classrooms and were blown away by the incredible work being done there and we are passionate about supporting them going forward.

There are 124 children at the orphanage and all have either HIV or AIDS, most contracting this from rape or sexual violence or breastfeeding. They are either orphans or have been abandoned due to their condition and range from newborn babies up to 18 years old.

If it were not for this orphanage they would be simply homeless which is a horrific thought and for which they have done nothing to deserve.

They also have an amazing outreach programme supporting over thousands of children and their families in the community providing testing, education, nursing care and much more.

As we played with the children at break time we noticed that their only outside play area is in a state of disrepair with the play house having planks of wood missing and nails sticking out of it, we would like to be able to replace this ourselves later in 2021 and give these beautiful children the opportunity to play and grow outside safely.

We know that times are hard at the moment but would really appreciate any donation however small to help us achieve our goal.
